How do you handle unexpected outages or other issues that arise during your shift?

Network operations specialists are expected to be able to handle complex network issues with minimal disruption. They must be able to quickly identify and resolve any problems that arise, as well as communicate clearly with other teams and departments.

Example:

“When an unexpected outage or other issue arises during my shift, I first take a moment to assess the situation and determine what is causing the problem.

Then I use specialized tools and techniques to identify where the issue lies within the network and its impact on other systems or networks.

Once I have identified the source of the problem, I develop a plan for resolving it and communicate this with relevant teams and departments.

My goal is to ensure that we are all working together towards resolution in the most efficient manner possible.”
